Analysis of Products Characteristics

The LM330 portable Leeb hardness tester adopts a pen style integrated design, seamlessly integrating the main unit with the D-type impact device. The device size is 150mm × 46mm × 23mm, with a net weight of only 110g (125g when paired with a DL type conversion head), breaking through the volume limitations of traditional hardness testers. Its 1.77-inch color TFT LCD display, combined with full angle gravity compensation technology, can achieve stable measurement in all directions from vertical downward to vertical upward.

The device is equipped with seven hardness conversion algorithms (Leeb HL/Brinell HB/Rockwell HRB/HRC/Vickers HV/Shore HS/Strength σ b), covering key industrial parameters such as HLD 200-960 and HRC 19.8-68.5. The indication error is controlled within ± 6HLD (when HLD=800), and the repeatability accuracy reaches 6HLD, meeting GB/T 17394-1998 and ASTM A956 standards.

Cross-Industry Applications of LM330

In the Field of Mechanical Manufacturing

In the machining of machine tool guide rails, LM330 achieves rapid detection of narrow spaces through a D-type impact device. As shown in the application case of Beijing First Machine Tool Factory, it can perform in-situ hardness verification on the sliding saddle guide rail surface.

Aerospace Testing
The portability advantage of LM330 is significant for non removable components such as aircraft engine turbine discs. In the actual testing of a certain aerospace group, the equipment scans the hardness distribution of high-temperature alloy blades in a vertical upward direction. For surface detection scenarios, the device automatically triggers the elliptical indentation correction algorithm to ensure measurement accuracy when the arc radius is ≥ 2.5 times the diameter of the pressure ball.

Maintenance of Wind Power Equipment
In wind turbine gearbox testing, LM330's 1000 sets of data storage capacity support batch testing. A case study of an electric field in Jilin shows that the DL type impact device is suitable for hardness inspection of large planetary gears. A single charge can complete the data acquisition of 300 measurement points. After exporting to the LmView software through a USB interface, the data can be imported into a computer for convenient storage and later viewing.
